An MCP server for job search, with no API key or sign-in

AgentBeacon runs a remote MCP server that needs no sign-in and no API key: https://api.agentbeacon.sh/mcp/search. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI or any client that speaks MCP over HTTP, and your agent can find beacons: hiring beacons from employers’ own job boards in Austin, Texas, and remote, each with the employer’s own Apply link, and home services around Austin.

From a terminal:

In Claude or ChatGPT, add it as a custom connector with the same address. The connect guide has the steps for each app.

Two tools

search_beacons takes query, what the person needs in plain words, and optionally location (a place, lat,lng, or remote) and offset (the next page). It returns up to ten beacons a page, in Markdown, with no categories: whatever fits comes back together.
read_beacon takes beacon_id, the id at the end of a beacon’s Link line, and returns that beacon as it is now, to check it before acting on it.

Both are read-only. Neither sends anything to anyone.

Why no sign-in

An agent should be able to try a tool the moment it’s added, so the find server has nothing to set up: no account, no key, no OAuth screen. Messaging a beacon, or creating one, uses the separate server at https://api.agentbeacon.sh/mcp, which takes a token.
